Potatoes

While we were in Hanuman Chatti waiting to begin our recent trek, we realized just what an important place it was in the potato trade. Our taxi couldn't even get into the center of the village because the streets were full of potatoes.

All through the first stages of our hike, we were passed by donkeys coming down from the hillside loaded with spuds and unladen donkeys heading back up the hill to get more from the villages on the way.

Hopefully, these scales were accurate and everyone got what they had coming to them from the powerful potato merchants of Hanuman Chatti.
